Dental fillings are excellent for anything from repairing a chip to filling in a dental cavity. With recent advancements in cosmetic dentistry, they have also become unnoticeable, and much less hassle for you. We only use white fillings that look good and are set on placement so you don’t have to wait before you can chew with them. Getting a restoration is no longer a lengthy ordeal – we’ll have you looking great in no time at all, and with no pain.

A dental crown is a cap that covers a weakened or broken tooth to restore its’ strength and appearance. Dental crowns have evolved considerably in recent years, with technological improvements allowing for a much better choice of materials. With our skilled dentists, we can now create natural-looking crowns for beautiful-looking teeth. The process is relatively simple and painless, so there’s nothing to stop you from protecting your teeth.
Dental bridges can be made to cover a gap created when a tooth has been lost, covering any gaps to ensure your teeth look great and remain healthy. It is also possible to add bridges whether there are natural teeth or implants on the sides of the missing tooth. The bridge consists of a false tooth connected to a dental crown at either end. It is attached permanently and is very strong; our quality work can last well over a decade. Developments in dental technology mean that we can create this relatively quickly and easily for you, perfectly matching your teeth and restoring your beautiful smile.

Dentures, or ‘false teeth’ are designed to replace one or multiple teeth. We make all types of dentures, including partials (replacing some teeth), full dentures (replacing all teeth), fixed, removable, acrylic and chrome…
The build-up of plaque and tartar on your teeth can lead to serious diseases affecting the health of your teeth and gums. This can affect the structure of your teeth, leading to loose teeth, discomfort, and potential tooth loss. However, these issues can be easily resolved by the expert team at Fremantle Dental Care with a range of periodontal therapies.
The most common periodontal treatment we offer is scaling and root planning. In this treatment, we carefully remove plaque and tartar from the root surfaces and remove any toxic bacteria from the tooth root. In most cases, this is the only treatment you may require, so we can restore your teeth and smile to great health in no time at all. We’ll then continue with regular checkups every few months to make sure your health is maintained and there is no recurrence of the problem.

Jaw Clenching & Headache Therapy
Over a lifetime, our jaws are subjected to repeated stresses and strains from everyday chewing, talking, teeth grinding and habitual clenching. These stresses are collectively known as Bruxism and are frequently just a symptom of physical or emotional stress. In some cases, this can result in badly chipped or worn teeth, chronic jaw pain, or even long-term damage to the jaw joint. We can help you solve this problem by providing a custom bite splint that will prevent premature destruction of your teeth and relieve the stress on your jaw.
Botulinum Toxin Therapy
Patients with long-term habitual clenching find it very hard to stop themselves from doing so during sleep. The pressures from over-active muscle tension can severely damage your teeth and cause chronic pain in the jaw. If bite splints only provide limited improvement to their symptoms, patients can receive Botulinum Toxin injections into their clenching muscles. This can temporarily break the clenching cycle for up to six months, and provide much-needed pain relief. Dr. Thinus Koen leads our practice in this advanced area of jaw clenching management and has been highly successful in treating patients who suffer this stressful condition.
If you have questions about the health of your jaw or teeth, our team will be happy to answer them for you. Get in contact today to let us know how we can help or to book an appointment.
Sports Mouthguards and Bite Splints
Sport is an important part of keeping fit and socialising for both children and adults. However, to protect your teeth, we recommend that anyone playing contact sports has a custom-made mouthguard. Our laboratories produce high-quality, comfortable and durable mouthguards that will ensure your teeth remain protected no matter what happens. We can make them up in any colour you desire, and even include a personal ID to make sure there are no mix-ups in the locker room!
Bite splints are similar to ultra-thin mouth guards and are designed to protect your teeth from wear at night. They are excellent for patients who grind their teeth or clench their jaw in their sleep, as they help protect your teeth and relieve any pain. The team at Fremantle Dental Care can produce a customised bite splint for you, which will be comfortable to wear and help you sleep more comfortably.
